November 2008 a new location on Boat Deck aft on the starboard side.

The shop closed completely for a few years. The story I was told on board, but I can't remember who told me was that when Al Fayed bought Harrods, he objected to the shop on QE2 being tucked away on 1 deck, at that time Cunard would not allow it to move so he closed it. I don't know if there is anything in that story.

After the one deck Harrods closed, it became Tavellers Cove a kind of "general store" which also sold Cunard and QE2 logo items.

Hi Lanky Lad,

That is an interesting story. I am putting up on my flickr page tomorrow a batch of QE2 video clips and one starts off with the window display of the Harrods shop.
