12th July 1990 the day i walked up the gangway to join the best ship.There was also other good memories like the day i shook the Queen Mother hand and meeting other famous people.

I have to say meeting my ex in 2008. Thanks to him I got to visit her 5 times in her last couple of months, stand on the bow, eat in the mess and see some crew areas. The Duke of Edinburgh buggered up my 6th visit!

For me it has to be the 20th September 2007 stood on the open deck below the bridge as the whistle sounded for 40 seconds to mark the 40th anniversary of her launch.
Off the ship but still liked was the celebration of QE2 in Liverpool Cathedral on the 21st September 2007. Not a dry eye in the house.
