1982 - Refit (Southampton)
1982 - Refit (Southampton)
This was the post-Falklands refit, bring the liner back to passenger service. Work took place in Southampton between 12 June 1982 and 13 August 1982. The cost of the refit was reputed to be in the region of £7million.
The most striking changes were the adoption of the traditional Cunard funnel colours as well as the black hull being repainted pebble grey.
