what i have always wondered is were passangers able to go on the bow part and go right to the edge of the ship?

Now that would be brill but I don`t think passengers where permitted at the Bow section. My good friend Captain Jan-Olav Storli once told me, when he had his first spell aboard SS Norway he went to the front of her Bow and done what Jack from Titanic done (but years before the movie came out) and he said there was no greater feeling. I would love to do it one day

It was out of bounds for passengers

Yes i was out there on the edge, but sometimes that area is also out of bounds for crew specially in docking ports.
