Yes the QE2 left the dry dock with that yellow line but the white line was replaced later again.

These images are superb, as you all know I love seeing images of her in drydock
What I would like to know is, do the crew stay onboard during refits, or do you get to stay in a hotel??

I`m shocked mate, it would be like living in a building site. How long, roughly, does a refit take??

Roughly 3-4 weeks, i once on my first refit in 1990 had shower with brown water.Since most of the shell doors are open the ship was freezing cold i was sleeping with loads of clothes.
