QE2 embarked on a 3 day voyage departing New York to watch the newly found comet, Kohoutek. Bad weather meant that visibility was limited during the cruise. Guest of honour on the voyage was Professor Lubos Kohoutek, the discoverer of the new comet. One other notable passenger was Dr. Isaac Asimov.

I have no details on who the chartering organisation was but interested to find out anything further.
