Hello former Crew Members and Passengers of the QE2,

I would just like to say seeing the photos of her in Dubai and the now museum exhibits of Concorde, would you think we will see the likes of them again? I remember a many a transatlantic crossing and the Captain of the QE2 was in contact with the Captain of Concorde and as Concorde flew over the QE2 the Captain would announce on the ships tannoy that, " In 10 minutes time Concorde would be flying over and you could hear her supersonic boom ( invisible to the naked eye ) out on deck!" Well I suppose it´s in the history books now!

Concorde - London Heathrow - New York JFK 8 hours
QE2 - Southampton - New York 5 days
QM2 - Southampton - New York 1 week now I believe

It´s a very interesting maritime and aviation subject don´t you think?
Personally I never thought I´d see the day when QE2 and Concorde were no more!
Any comments please? Sleep

Sadly i think it is going to stay in the history books and cant see in the future that ever happing again.

I was lucky to serve some pilots of the Concorde while on the QE2, they really liked to fly it.

I did read somewhere that Cunard and specifically for QE2 were the most prolific charterers of Concorde.
